 Very loud, very flashy thunderstorm My 3-year-old son and I enjoy a very loud thunderstorm together from the balcony of our apartment. You'll have to pardon us if we're a little too excited -- we just love thunderstorms. My wife joined us on the balcony and attempted to pull my son back from the edge out of concern for his safety. You'll hear him protest loudly. :) The video really doesn't do the volume of the storm justice. I think this was one of the loudest storms I've experienced. Watch around the 2:33 mark for a close lightning strike just beyond the building in view. Check out the 3:00 mark for some nasty looking green lightning.
