 U Turn (1997) Really great scene from the Oliver Stone movie, "U-Turn". Sean Penn stars as Bobby Cooper, a hustler who ended up owing the wrong people a lot of money, and lost a couple fingers to remind him of the debt. On his way to pay them back in Las Vegas, Bobby's car breaks down and while waiting to get it fixed, finds himself in the middle of a town that borders somewhere between Hicksville and the Twilight Zone. In this scene, Bobby goes to the local cafe for a drink and quickly finds himself caught in the middle of some strange small town drama between Jenny (Claire Danes) and her hot-headed boyfriend, Toby N. Tucker (Joaquin Phoenix). Powers Boothe plays the local sheriff and Julie Hagerty plays the quirky yet unsettling waitress Flo. The film boasts a fantastic cast including Billy Bob Thornton, Jennifer Lopez, Nick Nolte and Jon Voight. Copyright by Phoenix Pictures.
