 The Isreali attack on the USS Liberty With friends like Isreal, who needs enemies? This is a summary of the events surrounding the attempted sinking of an unarmed American spy ship during the 6 day war. It was all hushed up of course. Documents now seem to indicate that this was a jointly planned operation of the US and Isreali intelliegence services as a means to bring the U.S. into the war and take out Egypt. (Egypt then, Iran now) Another dark day in American history that we are supposed to forget so the government can do it again and again.
