 Poglavnik Ante Pavelić Poglavnik Ante Pavelić meeting with people. Ante Pavelić (July 14, 1889 December 28, 1959) was the Headman (Poglavnik) and founding member of the fascist and ultra-nationalist Croatian Ustaše movement in the 1930s. The movement's full name is Ustaša - Croatian Revolutionary Organization and, later, the leader of the Independent State of Croatia. He died in Madrid in December 28, 1959.
