Ibanez RGT42DX Review This is my review of my new guitar, the Ibanez RGT42DX. I got this because I wanted a guitar with a double locking Floyd Rose style tremolo. I still hate maintaining them though. It has an Edge III bridge, which in my opinion is better than other Floyd Rose style bridges I've tried. It feels solid and I can palm mute relatively hard on it. This is a neck through guitar. It has neck and headstock binding but you can't see it very well because the whole guitar is white. It has a Wizard II neck with mother of pearl sharktooth inlays, and 24 frets. It has a larger and wider neck than my SG. Most of the guitar is mahogany, and the fretboard is rosewood. The pickups are some generic Ibanez Infinity pickups. The tuners are also generic. The feel of this guitar is great and the bridge feels nice too. It is easy to play and it feels solid. It is a high quality instrument. The things I don't like about it are the noisy stock pickups and the boring body shape. Overall though I think this is a great guitar. Yes, I will still play my SG! And no I'm not going to change my name to "WhiteRGShredder&quo t; or something like that, heh.
