 A Day To Remember - "Fast Forward To 2012" BASS COVER Suggestion: Listen with headphones, watch in HQ mode for best stereo sound (if u hear hiss noise, that will be gone with HQ mode as well). So my good old camera which i used to record over 100 videos passed away last weekend. And i borrowed a digital camera from my friend, but this cam doesnt pick up the low sound at all. I tried all angles and settings on my amp, camera, and comp speakers, but it just didnt pick up the low frequency well. So i decided to try and record my bass directly onto the comp while hearing myself via amp, not via headphones (so i can move freely). Here is what i did: My bass is connected directly to the amps input. And my amp has dedicated effects in/out, so i plugged my pedals into those. Also in the back of my amp there is something called Line-out. I connected that Line-out to the back of Mbox as Line, not as Instrument like i did when i recorded the Sparta cover. Now Mbox can receive signals from the amp which gets recorded directly onto the hard drive, and i still can hear my bass from the amp. The bass u hear is what im actually playing in the vid. After im done with a song, i export the audio (original recording and my bass) as a stereo mix track (I use Pro Tools). I import the video from the digital camera and the audio i just exported into an editing software (I use Final Cut Pro) and sync them together. I add titles, maybe sum effects, render them, and finally export the video and audio as one Mpeg4 file. Yes it takes a while to make it but i hope its worth it. If u listen on HQ mode and put on headphones it almost sounds like it was recorded this way in the studio, except bass volume is 3x higher lol. I mite upload the vid with audio recorded by the camera so u can c (hear) the difference.
