 Canada, Alberta / Landscape Alberta is located in western Canada, between the province of British Columbia on the west and Saskatchewan to the east, the Northwest Territories to the North and U.S. State of Montana to the south. The capital is Edmonton. It's the primary supply of Canada's oil and many other natural resources. Alberta offers grain, dairy farming, grasslands, National Parks, conventional crude oil, synthetic crude, natural gas and is the world's 2nd largest exporter of natural gas, and the 4th largest producer. The Athabasca Oil Sands has the equivalent of the worlds estimated 1.6 trillion barrels of oil. Situated on the Rocky Mountains, it offers the best in winter activities and has hosted the Winter Olympics.
